Neso Russia Internship Programme

About the Programme

The Neso Russia Internship Programme is a tailor-made educational programme based on two approaches: the academic and the practical. It provides students with an opportunity to gain both academic and professional experience abroad, as well as to familiarise themselves with Russian business culture.

to gain invaluable professional experience in Russia

The structure of the programme

The programme is made up of two core elements: an academic module by the Higher School of Economics (HSE) and an internship module in a large Dutch (-managed) partner company in Russia.

The academic module hosted by HSE is called Doing Business in Russia and it includes an induction module, a team project and a project presentation. Participants will attend joint classes with students from Germany participating in the programme Russia in Practice and will be mentored by an HSE tutor to add value to the academic experience.

The internship module is conducted during the whole programme period and is based on a preliminary selection procedure performed by partner companies. It gives participants an opportunity to apply the knowledge obtained in classes and put it into practice to gain competency in an intercultural professional environment. Participants will be provided with a work placement mentor who will offer guidance and supervision in the company.

Usually there are two intakes during a year - in February and in September, however sometimes upon agreement with a company it is possible to start earlier or later than that.
